What We Stand For

Our Vision

A World Reconnected to Its Heritage

Connect more souls to a deeper and more rewarding relationship with their faith through the revival and preservation of classical Islamic scholarship, made accessible to Muslims worldwide.

Our Mission

Reviving the Intellectual Legacy

Revive the intellectual and spiritual legacy of Islamic scholarship by translating, researching and publishing classical works — building a living bridge between our scholarly heritage and the contemporary Muslim world.

Access

Removing every barrier between the believer and 1400 years of scholarship. Knowledge that belongs to the Ummah should reach the Ummah.

Connection

Spiritual transformation happens through relationship. We connect living scholars to students, and students to the words of those who came before.

Scholarship

We hold ourselves to the highest standards of academic rigour, honouring a tradition built on careful transmission, precision, and lifelong learning.

Hear from Our Community

★★★★★

Volunteering with Ihya transformed how I approach my academic work. The mentorship and the calibre of my colleagues pushed me to think more deeply about everything I do.

I came in as an events coordinator and ended up contributing to two major publications. Ihya genuinely invests in its volunteers — it's unlike any organisation I've worked with.

Khalid Osman
Events Coordinator · 2023 – 2024

The community here is warm, rigorous, and deeply purposeful. Every hour I give feels like it's going somewhere that genuinely matters — for the ummah, not just a CV.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Project Ihya Talent Hub is a curated pool of skilled volunteers who contribute their professional expertise — in technology, scholarship, design, operations, and more — to support the revival and preservation of classical Islamic scholarship. It is the central gateway for anyone who wants to contribute meaningfully to the project.
The Talent Hub is open to Muslims worldwide who have professional-level skills in one or more of our listed disciplines. You do not need to be an Islamic scholar to contribute — engineers, designers, translators, writers, and operations professionals are all equally needed. A sincere desire to serve the tradition is the most important qualification.
Start by completing the volunteer application form volunteer application form. Share your skills, your background, and the type of contributions you’re interested in. Our team reviews every submission personally and will be in touch within a few weeks.
After submitting you will receive a confirmation email. Our team reviews applications on a rolling basis. If your profile is a strong match for active projects, we will reach out to schedule a brief introductory conversation. Even if there is not an immediate project fit, strong applicants are retained in our talent pool for future opportunities.
Projects span a wide range of disciplines. Technology contributors may work on our digital archive platform, search infrastructure, or mobile apps. Scholars and translators work on classical Arabic texts. Designers create publication covers, infographics, and digital assets. Operations volunteers support events, community outreach, and organisational processes. Every contribution feeds directly into the mission.
The Talent Hub is primarily a volunteer programme. Contributors give their time and skills as a form of service — sadaqah jariyah. Project Ihya is a non-profit, and the vast majority of our work is sustained by the dedication and generosity of our community. Some specialised contracted roles may exist separately from the Talent Hub.
As Project Ihya grows and secures further funding, paid and contracted positions do become available. Talent Hub contributors who have demonstrated reliability, quality, and alignment with the mission are among the first people we consider when those opportunities arise. Many of our current core team members began their journey as volunteers.
New projects and tasks emerge regularly as our publishing pipeline expands. Some contributors are engaged intensively for weeks on a specific deliverable; others provide light-touch, ongoing input over months. We try to match the nature of engagement to each contributor’s availability and preferences, so there is no single schedule that fits all.
